Pitch Showdown: Contestants present their groundbreaking concepts in a rapid-fire format. Judges evaluate each pitch based on scientific merit, feasibility, and impact. Our judging panel features top scientists, industry leaders, and venture capitalists who provide invaluable feedback and guidance.
Turning Ideas into Reality: Beyond the pitch, SVINnovation offers practical insights for navigating the path from concept to implementation. Learn strategies for protecting your intellectual property, gain insights into regulatory pathways and FDA submissions, understand market positioning, and explore the steps to bring your solution to life.
Networking Opportunities: Connect with industry leaders, researchers, and clinicians. Forge partnerships, exchange ideas, and explore collaborative ventures. This is your chance to build lasting relationships with key players in the neurovascular space.
Fundraising Potential: SVINnovation isn’t just about ideas—it’s about turning them into reality. Investors and sponsors eagerly support promising projects. The prize includes $150,000 in cash, complimentary services and mentorship from industry experts, and features in our S:VIN Journal and SVIN's website.

SVINnovation Application Instructions:

SVINnovation Entry Requirements:

SVIN Membership: Must be an active SVIN member to apply and in-person conference attendee if selected to pitch.
Intellectual Property (IP) Protection: Must have filed a provisional patent application or possess existing intellectual property rights
Business Plan / Pitch Deck: Must submit a detailed business plan outlining the company's mission, product roadmap, market analysis, and non-formal financial projections
Regulatory Pathway: Must demonstrate a clear understanding of the regulatory pathway for their medical device (e.g., MDR/ CE or FDA approval process)
Team Composition: Must have a qualified and experienced team, including at least one member with expertise in medical device development
Clinical Validation: Must have a plan for clinical validation, including partnerships with medical professionals or institutions or CRO’s
Financial Stability: Must show capability of initial funding or financial stability to support ongoing development and operations

SVINnovation Workshop

The SVINnovation Workshop is a cornerstone of the SVIN Annual Meeting’s innovation programming—designed to empower early-stage innovators, clinician-entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders with the tools and insights needed to bring transformative neurovascular technologies to life.

This 2-hour, hands-on session provides a comprehensive overview of the innovation lifecycle, with expert-led discussions and actionable guidance on:
