Target Audience: This workshop is designed to accommodate all levels of expertise, from novice operators to experienced proceduralists. Residents with a strong interest in neurointerventional surgery are highly encouraged to apply.

Following a great first collaboration, the SVIN–SLICE Workshop is making its comeback at the SVIN 2025 Annual Meeting in Orlando.

Treat real stroke cases, learn from international experts, and sharpen your interventional skills in this exclusive 2-hour session led by top SVIN faculty. Designed for small groups, this high-impact experience focuses on both ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke treatments, using real-life patient scenarios and advanced flow models.

Through this immersive challenge, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work through authentic clinical cases with real decision-making paths.
  • Discuss strategies and treatment options in-depth with expert mentors.
  • Analyze anatomical and imaging details.
  • Practice device sizing and pharmacological considerations.
  • Handle silicone flow models based on real patients, and place actual medical devices.

Whether you're early in your career or looking to refine your technique, the SVIN–SLICE Challenge offers practical mastery, direct mentorship, and a unique chance to push your skills further.

Step 2: Chose 1 or several cases to perform, using the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Select a 2-hour time slot for every case you have chosen.
Step 4: Join the SLICE team and the faculty members in Caribbean 11-12.

Neurosonology Workshop

Target Audience: This workshop is open to anyone interested in gaining experience in neurosonology. Whether you're an advanced practice provider, a resident with a strong interest in the field, a fellow seeking to deepen your knowledge, or an attending physician aiming to refine your skills — all are welcome. 

Join us for a three-hour, hands-on Neurosonology Workshop that builds a strong foundation in transcranial Doppler (TCD) and carotid ultrasound. Attendees receive pre-workshop access to educational modules covering core principles and clinical applications like stroke monitoring, bubble studies, and vasomotor reactivity. The in-person session features small-group scanning with live models and simulators, as well as case interpretation discussions led by certified faculty. Participants can earn credits and a certificate, and will leave with reference materials, protocol slide decks, and vendor contacts—ready to apply neurosonology techniques in their stroke workflows.

Loop Recorder Workshop

The 3rd annual SVIN ILR Workshop offers a hands-on, simulation-based experience to build procedural confidence and interdisciplinary skills in ILR placement using the Medtronic LINQ system. Participants will gain practical training in patient counseling, documentation, and integrating ILRs into stroke care pathways.

Radiation Workshop

Target Audience: Anyone working in the angiosuite and exposed to radiation is encouraged to attend this workshop, which covers the latest advancements and science behind radiation protection. This is a must-attend session for young fellows at the start of their careers who want to optimize safety and minimize radiation exposure. 

The Radiation Workshop aims to present attendees with practical information about radiation safety in the endovascular space as well as information on the tools to help mitigate the risks of chronic radiation exposure. The session will include a didactic session with a panel discussion during which important elements of radiation safety are discussed with a group of experts, followed by a hands-on demonstration of a number of the emerging radiation shielding technologies now available. The goal of this workshop is to help attendees better understand the occupational risks they face on a daily basis and to also provide them with tools to help keep them safe.

Target Audience: This workshop offers a valuable opportunity to learn about pre-hospital triage, the latest advances in mobile stroke units, and the technologies and protocols used in the field. Emergency providers, paramedics, fire fighters, nurses, technologists, and physicians are all welcome to attend. 

The Advances in Prehospital Stroke Care: Emerging Technologies & Best Practices Workshop is open to non-registered attendees. Non-registered attendees are NOT allowed to attend any educational programming and events unless registered for the Annual Meeting.

In this workshop organized by the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN), renowned EMS medical directors, vascular neurologists and neuro-interventionalists will discuss the latest advances in pre-hospital acute stroke care, innovative technologies and best practices for optimizing stroke systems of care.
