Why Should I Have My Meeting Endorsed by SVIN?

SVIN is supportive of its members and their work and accomplishments. The SVIN Executive Committee is responsible for reviewing any member projects prior to promotion in order to support our mission and vision.

In addition, SVIN is committed to promoting collaboration between medical specialties and between healthcare providers in different parts of the world who share our values.

To this end, SVIN will actively endorse medical meetings that are consistent with the goals of the Society and will partner with other medical societies and organizations in order to support scientific and educational meetings that pertain to vascular and interventional neurology.

How to Have Your Meeting Endorsed by SVIN

The Chair of the scientific program or session in question must submit a cover email to the SVIN Executive Committee for review and fill out the Meeting Endorsement Request Application here.

Requirements and Procedures:

  • Name of sponsoring organization
  • Names and affiliations of the program chairs
  • Majority number of SVIN Members included as Program Chairs, Speakers, or Panelists.
  • Proposed topics and learning objectives identified
  • List of Invited/confirmed speakers
  • The mission statement, purpose, or function of the organization’s event must be in alignment with SVIN’s mission.
  • SVIN will not serve as a financial or CME provider for any endorsed meetings.

To request your meeting to be endorsed, please fill out the Meeting Endorsement Request Application here.

Upon approval by the SVIN Executive Committee, SVIN will officially endorse the meeting/session.

Endorsement entails the following:

  • Announcement posted on the SVIN future meetings page of the website until the end of the meeting
  • E-mail blast announcing the meeting/session to the entire SVIN membership
  • “Endorsed By” SVIN logo will be provided and must be included in meeting flyers and printed literature.
  • “Endorsed By” SVIN logo must be posted on the meeting website home page with a live link to the SVIN website until the end of the meeting/session.

Reciprocal Endorsement of Specialty Sessions

SVIN will also actively pursue opportunities to jointly endorse SPECIFIC meeting sessions with other organizations. Typically, this would entail a session of mutual interest in the SVIN annual meeting that is clearly labeled as “endorsed” by another society or organization in exchange for a session devoted to any aspect of neurocritical care in the partner organization’s meeting that is clearly labeled as “endorsed” by SVIN.

Reciprocal endorsement of specialty sessions includes:

  • Announcement of partner meeting on the SVIN meeting page.
  • E-mail blast announcing the partner meeting to the SVIN membership.
  • Exchange of logos for use in flyers and promotional material.

It is anticipated and hoped, but not required that partnering organizations reciprocate in kind.

To request your meeting to have reciprocal endorsement, please fill out the Meeting Endorsement Request Application here, and be sure to check “Yes” on Question 23.
