Don't miss the Presidential Address occurring November 21 (9:30am-10:00am) given by SVIN President, Dr. Italo Linfante, MD, FSVIN, FAHA.

New at this year’s Annual Meeting, all posters will be available for viewing electronically via e-kiosks located in the exhibit and poster hall. Join us for the abstract platform sessions, which will occur Thursday, November 21st and Friday, November 22nd at 11am in the Grand Salon ballroom. 

This year SVIN received a record breaking number of abstract submissions! Dr. Alicia Castonguay, Chair of the Abstract Committee would like to thank the Committee for their continuous efforts and contributions in reviewing the abstract submissions for 2019. Abstracts are still under review and notifications will be sent out soon regarding posters and presentations.

   Congratulations to the 2019 SVIN Pilot Research Grant Winners!


Dr. Ashutosh Jadhav, MD, PhD, FSVIN
Congratulations Dr. Ashutosh Jadhav, MD, PhD, FSVIN for winning the Pilot Research Grant Award! Dr. Ashutosh Jadhav is an associate professor of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh where he serves as a director of the UPMC Stroke Institute and director of the Vascular Neurology (ACGME) and Interventional Neurology (CAST) fellowships.  He is a current SVIN Board Member, Chair of the SVIN Social Media and Digital Strategy Committee, AHA/SVIN Liaison to the Stroke Council and Chair of the AAN Endovascular & Interventional Neurology Section.

"It is a great honor to receive the Pilot Research Grant from SVIN.  By supporting research initiatives at an early stage, SVIN plays a critical role in fostering new ideas and advancing innovations in the field of vascular and interventional neurology"

 


Dr. Edgar Samaniego, MD, MS

Congratulations Dr. Edgar Samaniego, MD, MS for winning the Pilot Research Grant Award! Dr. Samaniego is an Associate Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Radiology at the University of Iowa.  He trained as a Neurologist at the University of Wisconsin and did his Neurocritical/Stroke fellowships at Stanford University. 

"It is a great honor to receive the Pilot Research Grant from SVIN.  I am puzzled by the lack of knowledge about brain aneurysms.   I hope that the results of this initiative would translate into better care of our patients with unruptured brain aneurysms.  I would like to thank SVIN for supporting my research."
