Lucas Elijovich, MD, FSVIN, FAHA, Chair, SVIN Annual Meeting | I want to invite everyone to SVIN’s 12th Annual Meeting taking place November 20-23 at the Hilton Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia. The theme of this year's meeting - "Taking a Deep Dive on Stroke", continues our focus on multidisciplinary participation from physicians, nurses, administrators, industry partners, and scientists building on the success of previous Annual Meetings. We will kick off the meeting on Day 1 with the Stroke Center Workshop (chaired by Jawad Kirmani, MD, FSVIN). I want to give a special thanks to the Program Committee for assembling a diverse and international faculty with leaders in stroke from multiple continents representing neurointerventional surgery, vascular neurology, neurosurgery, and radiology.
There are many highlights of the meeting to look forward to including a lecture given by an internationally recognized Cross-Cultural Studies author/consultant Sondra Thiederman, PhD who will give a keynote address on Women's Issues on Day 3 of the meeting.
The fellows course (chaired by Ameer E. Hassan D.O., FAHA, FSVIN) will occur on Day 4 and provide a unique opportunity for senior faculty to interact with and teach trainees. A special thank you to our industry partners for their generous support of this course. Please mark your calendars so you do not miss out on this exciting and one of a kind event!
I would like to thank the Abstract committee, under the leadership of Alicia Castonguay, PhD, our Annual meeting committee, Nursing and Vascular Track Chairs, Fundraising Committee, chaired by Johanna Fifi, MD, FSVIN, SVIN's Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and to all of SVIN's top staff for their diligent work on making the 12th Annual Meeting one to remember. I would like to also acknowledge and thank our gracious meeting exhibitors and sponsors for their continued participation and support of the SVIN Annual Meeting and the society. If you know of any corporation that would like to sponsor and/or exhibit at this year’s conference, please have them contact the Executive Office at meetings@svin.org or by calling 952.646.2033. |
