The Departments of Neurological Surgery and Neurology/Neurosciences, UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, is actively recruiting a joint-appointment full-time board-certified Neurointensivist/Neurointerventionalist (50/50) for an expanding Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit and Endovascular Service. We are a busy 500-bed, Level-1 trauma center located 9 miles from New York City. Our 12-bed neurosurgical unit will soon expand to 20 beds, for a service performing over 1200 operative procedures with cerebrovascular, tumor, and spinal pathology as well as nearly 200 therapeutic endovascular interventions. This position will consist of primarily stroke interventions as well as the critical care responsibilities.
Candidates must be board-certified in Neurology and Critical Care Medicine and have completed an Endovascular Fellowship with an interest in pursuing both patient care as well as clinical research. Proficiency with transcranial doppler and other bedside ICU procedures is essential.
Salary will be commensurate with ability, training, experience and demonstrated prior performance, and is designed to attract an outstanding candidate.
