The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at William Beaumont Hospital is recruiting a 4th neurointerventional radiologist. Duties will include both diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology. The neuroradiology division consists of 12 neuroradiologists in an 80 person group. The main hospital in Royal Oak, MI is a 1061 bed Level 1 trauma center. There are 10 diagnostic radiology residents in each year of the training program and 2 neuroradiology fellows. A new medical school in partnership with Oakland University is scheduled to admit its first students in 2011.
There are 2 Siemens biplane angiographic suites and 4 single plane suites. There are 8 CTs on campus including dual source and the latest generation Siemens Flash CT has been ordered. There are 6 MRIs on campus including GE and Siemens 3T units. The division also covers several of the hospital’s outpatient centers where there are many additional CTs and MRIs.
Royal Oak is located in Oakland County with outstanding public schools and recreational opportunities. Housing prices and the cost of living are low compared to most major metropolitan areas. There is easy accessibility to the DTW airport which is one of the largest in the world and has nonstop flights to many major cities in Europe and Asia.
