Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN) Officers and Committee:

Committees:

1. Executive Committee: All Officers

The Executive Committee shall consist of the Officers of the Board and will be responsible for the operational and management issues related to the SVIN between the board meetings.

2. Annual Meeting and CME Committee: Jawad Kirmani, Tudor Jovin

The Annual Meeting and CME Committee will plan the annual SVIN meeting and any other educational meeting supported by the SVIN. The Committee will develop the structure and format of the meetings, identify meeting locations, coordinate the scientific program, and obtain appropriate speakers for the programs. It will work closely with the Finance Committee to raise funds, to support the educational meetings. 

3. Communications and Public Relations Committee: Sophia Janjua, Sam Zaidat

The Communications and Public relations Committee will oversee and maintain the content of the SVIN website. The committee will be also responsible for the content of the SVIN newsletter, which is distributed four times per year and is posted on the website.

4. Education and Accreditation Committee: Vallabh Janardhan, Raul Noguiera

The Education and Accreditation Committee will develop basic guidelines for Neuro-interventional Fellowship programs, and an accreditation process based on these guidelines.

5. Finance and Fundraising Committee: Edgard Pereira, Rishi Gupta

The Finance and Fundraising Committee will work closely with the Treasurer in managing the finances of the SVIN. This Committee will work with various organizations in securing funds to support the SVIN mission. It will also work with the Membership Committee in obtaining membership dues.

6. Guidelines and Practice Committee: Abou-Chebl, Than Nguyen

The Guidelines and Practice Committee will direct development of appropriate clinical management guidelines based on the best current medical evidence and expert opinions.

7. Membership and Nomination Committee: Andrew Xavier, Dileep Yavagal

The Membership and Nomination Committee will direct efforts to strengthen SVIN membership worldwide and ensure appropriate membership status to all new applicants and existing members. The Committee will also propose to the Board every year, potential nominees for the election.

8. Research and Publications Committee: Italo Linfante, Randy Edgell

The Research and Publications Committee will develop and maintain the SVIN registry and work towards the creation of an interventional neurology research consortium. The Committee will direct SVIN efforts to develop an official Journal.
